Pakistan Passport Photo Maker

A Pakistani passport photo is 35 × 45 mm in portrait orientation on a plain white background. The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports (DGIP) and NADRA both use this ICAO-aligned size, and even a slightly off-white background can cause rejection. Our free tool crops to 35 × 45 mm in your browser.

Official Pakistan passport photo requirements

Pakistani passports are handled by the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports (DGIP), with online applications on the DGIP portal (onlinemrp.dgip.gov.pk) and biometric data linked to your NADRA CNIC. The accepted photo is 35 × 45 mm, portrait, on a strictly plain white background.

The face should fill roughly 70–80% of the frame — about 31 to 36 mm from chin to crown — with a neutral expression, mouth closed and both eyes open, looking straight at the camera. Glasses are best avoided; if worn, they must have no glare, no tint and no frames covering the eyes. The photo should be recent, taken within the last six months.

Getting the digital size right for online applications

On the DGIP online passport portal you upload a JPEG on a white background. A 35 × 45 mm print at 300 DPI is 413 × 531 pixels, and some portals request 600 DPI (around 827 × 1063 pixels) for sharper detail. Because your passport photo is sensitive personal data tied to your identity, our tool crops and resizes it directly on your device — the file is never uploaded to us.

Frequently asked questions

What background does a Pakistani passport photo need?

Plain white. Even slightly off-white or cream backgrounds can trigger rejection on the DGIP portal, so aim for pure white.

Is the NADRA photo the same size as the passport photo?

Both NADRA CNIC/NICOP and DGIP passport photos use the 35 × 45 mm portrait format on a white background, so one compliant photo generally works for both.

Can I wear glasses in a Pakistani passport photo?

It's best to remove them. If worn, lenses must be glare-free and untinted and frames must not cover the eyes.
